# Customize portals and selling category

> Prepare the buyer and recipient journeys.

## Before you start

Brand settings include previews of both journeys. Temporary testing does not necessarily change the saved design.

## Step by step

1. For recipients, review greeting, social links, thanks and Story or Letter ceremony. Save the selection.
2. For buyers, edit welcome, closing and dedication suggestions. Add or remove suggestions; Gifty fallback is an alternative, not a merged list.
3. Review the customization decision: the first save can enable it until you make an explicit choice.
4. For publication category, find or create a TiendaNube category, or choose automatic. Review impact before saving.

## How to verify the result

Previews help verify copy and journey. Category changes require TiendaNube application and a valid public link to verify.

## If something goes wrong

* If a category was deleted or application is pending, recover synchronization from the displayed state.
* Choosing a ceremony does not let buyers choose artwork; the design belongs to the product.

## Review the recipient experience

Check the greeting, social links and thank-you text in the gift preview. Choose Story or The letter and walk through the opening to assess readability. Save to persist the choice; trying an artwork in the preview does not save it across all products.

## Complete the buyer portal

Use the checklist and Portal preview to review the welcome, closing and dedication suggestions. Add or remove your suggestions as one coherent list. If you choose the Gifty alternative, review that complete list: it is not mixed with yours. Save and check the copy in the preview.

## Recover the publishing category

If the selected category was deleted in TiendaNube, select another existing category, create one or choose automatic. If application is pending, check the status and retry the available synchronization; saving the selection does not confirm the remote change. Open the public link when available and check where the product appears.
