# Prepare content for a channel

> Create a piece ready to use in your communication channel.

## Before you start

You need a published gift card to select in Communication.

## Step by step

1. Choose gift card, occasion or date and destination. Review copy and subject where relevant.
2. Open the composer to adjust artwork, headline and copy. Compare the channel preview.
3. Download the PNG at native size, copy email HTML or copy the real product link when available.
4. Take the content to the channel where you will publish or send it and verify the result there.

## How to verify the result

Exporting or copying prepares content. This action does not automatically publish posts or send an email campaign.

## If something goes wrong

* If no gift cards are published, prepare and publish one first.
* The piece’s color is temporary; restore brand color when needed. Copying HTML does not prove the destination channel sent it.
