# Send a test and understand its scope

> Check email presentation without issuing a real gift card.

## Before you start

Use a test address you control. A test is a real communication to that destination.

## Step by step

1. Check the assigned published template; Launch Center testing uses that template or the available base.
2. Request the test and check the received email.
3. Open its link: it leads to a signed gift preview, not issued balance.
4. Separate design or variable problems from actual delivery failures.

## How to verify the result

Testing verifies presentation and link. Request acceptance does not confirm receipt; check the message.

## If something goes wrong

* A test is not evidence that a commercial gift card was delivered. Review that operation’s timeline.
* Complete missing template requirements before publication. Custom sender domains remain unavailable.
