# Verify the account contact

> The setup phone belongs to the account operator, not a gift card recipient.

## Before you start

Use the details of the person managing gifty for the store. Keep the phone available to receive verification.

## Step by step

1. Enter the requested contact details.
2. Enter the received code when the step asks you to verify the phone.
3. Use resend or skip only when the interface offers that option.

## How to verify the result

Completing verification confirms the contact phone. Skipping saves the phone without verifying it; these are different outcomes.

## If something goes wrong

* Do not enter a gift recipient phone here; recipient details belong to issuance.
* If the code does not arrive, use the alternatives shown in the step; continuing does not necessarily mean verified.

## During activation

Enter your name and verify WhatsApp on the same screen. Your email is shown for reference; change it in Settings. Enter the six-digit code in this step. Continuing requires a name and verified phone. “Verify later” appears only after failures, channel limits or two unverified codes; choosing it does not verify the phone.
