# Recipient use gift

# I received a gift card: how to use it

Open your gift, check its balance and choose an available redemption channel.

## Before you start

The gift link is private. Keep it secure and share it only with the intended user.

## Step by step

1. Open its Story or Letter presentation and open the ticket, where the code is revealed.
2. Check issuing store, balance and expiry. Code and QR represent the same gift.
3. Use it online or at the counter according to the store’s options. Do not assume it works at another store.
4. After use, check balance and history through the same link.

## How to verify the result

A depleted gift card keeps its history as a receipt. An expired gift may show balance without being automatically usable.

## If something goes wrong

* Ask the store about reactivating an expired gift.
* If the gift is unexpected, use the support option. Personalization and scheduling may be restricted after delivery; follow available actions.

## Personalize after opening the gift

When the link offers **Personalize**, open it and review available fields before changing scheduling or secret mode. After delivery, the secret choice is locked; do not promise to hide an identity already shown. Save only enabled options and return to verify the gift. Ask the store about corrections the screen does not allow.
