Help inside Gifty: today you message us on WhatsApp

Since 2026-09-16 the assistant help chat is off. Support contact happens on WhatsApp. In the dashboard, tap the green bubble at the bottom right; during initial setup it sits at the bottom left. WhatsApp opens with the message already started, and you choose whether to send it. The team answers you in that same chat. How to prepare the request is in Find help and prepare a support request. The rest of this guide describes the assistant chat, which is unavailable today. It stays as reference. If it returns, you will read it in the Changelog.

Step by step

  1. Open the Gifty logo button. The chat greets you and offers suggestions. Talk to a person appears as a quick option at the start, under every answer and always in the ⋯ menu of the header, even when the assistant is unavailable. It opens a WhatsApp draft; you choose whether to send it. The header switches to Team notified; that does not confirm that Hub received or assigned the request.
  2. Write a question and press Enter; Shift + Enter adds a line. While the assistant answers, the send button becomes Stop. Press the logo or the X again to minimize. The conversation and draft remain available; minimizing does not cancel an answer.
  3. When an answer cites a source, it appears under the message as a small tag: a Gifty guide (with a link), a current store observation or a file you supplied. They are different kinds of evidence. When enabled, the assistant can read the store profile, configuration, catalog summary and launch status. It does not operate balances, charges or deliveries, and cannot access arbitrary private data.
The language comes from the store. If it changes, new questions start a conversation in that language; previous history is not translated or rewritten. Switching accounts or stores clears the private context that was open.

Attach and review files

When the capability is enabled, choose Attach files, drag a file into the chat or paste an image. A message accepts up to 3 files: PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 8 MB and 20 megapixels; PDF up to 10 MB and 30 pages; WAV, MP3, M4A, Ogg or WebM audio up to 10 MB and 2 minutes. Limits also include 10 files per conversation and 20 per store over 24 h. Removing a file does not refund the daily quota. Wait for Ready to send, then open View extracted content to review the extraction; it is not an editor. Partial or low-quality readings are indicated. Encrypted PDFs, forms, embedded files and unsupported actions are rejected. Accepted documents are converted into image pages before extraction. An uploaded file alone does not prove that an operation happened in Gifty. Remove files before sending or through their tag under the answer. Access to a file and its extraction expires 24 h after upload; removing it revokes that access immediately. Physical deletion uses hourly tasks, retries and subsequent checks. This does not automatically erase previous messages, assistant events or records a provider may retain. Do not attach passwords, credentials or payment-card data.

End and rate

End the conversation, in the ⋯ menu, closes it explicitly; afterwards you can Start another. Ratings are optional, appear inside the chat and never block human contact. Experience is rated from 1 to 5; resolution is a separate answer. Recommendation is rated from 0 to 10 and appears only when eligible. Silence is never interpreted as satisfaction. Not now postpones it and Don’t ask me again turns invitations off. The Gifty team can read this conversation to help you. A line at the top of the chat says so, and there is nothing to enable or share: the team reads the questions and the answers when it needs to understand your case. Attached files and their content are not shown there. So do not paste passwords, credentials or payment-card data. Removing a file also removes its exchange and any later exchanges that may depend on it from the context of future assistant replies. Previous messages remain visible.
