Before you start

Open Home after setup. During the trial, the home shows your gift card, one step at a time and the next date on your store calendar.

What you see at the top

The first line shows the current trial day and when the trial ends. If you cancel before that date, you don’t pay. Dates use your store’s time zone.

Your gift card on sale

  • The home shows your gift card with its amounts.
  • Each place has its real status: Live in your store, Pending or Not confirmed. If Tiendanube didn’t confirm the publication, select Try again.
  • If your listing is on tienda.gifty.lat, the On tienda.gifty.lat row appears. If you aren’t in the gift shop, the row doesn’t appear.
  • If your store can use the gift card as a payment method at checkout, the Payment method at your checkout row appears with Request it. Before you request it, the home explains what changes: gift cards you sell after it is turned on are paid as a payment method, with their code and a security code, and they don’t work as coupons. The ones you already sold keep working as coupons.
  • After you request it, the row says Requested on [date]. When the Gifty team starts turning it on, the row says so. With the payment method on, it says Active at your checkout. If your store can’t use it yet, the row doesn’t appear.
  • The home says “on sale” only when your gift card is live and your subscription allows sales. If it doesn’t, the home says so and takes you to Billing.

One step at a time

  1. Share your link: copy the link, download the counter QR or copy the ready message. You make the Instagram story in Communication.
  2. Add it to your store menu: add the link to your Tiendanube menu and select I added it. You mark this step yourself.
  3. See how it reaches the person who gets it: we send a preview to your email. It doesn’t issue any balance.
  4. Complete your billing details: it appears only when details are missing.
Finished steps are crossed out. Copying the link or opening your store records a step, not a sale.

Your first sale

When you sell your first gift card, the home tells the story of that sale: who gave it to whom, the amount and when it goes out. The milestones are Sold, Scheduled, Sent, Opened and Redeemed.
  • Sent confirms the sending, not the receipt.
  • If the gift card was issued only as a code, there is no delivery and no sending milestones appear.
  • A manual or campaign issue doesn’t count as the first sale.

Sold versus your first charge

  • Sold is the value of the gift cards sold during the trial. It isn’t what was collected.
  • Your first charge is the plan’s fixed fee, with your discount if you have one. In Argentina it shows ”+ VAT”. With Mercado Pago it shows the total with VAT included.
  • On the variable plan, trial sales pay no commission.
  • Both bars share a scale only when they are in the same currency. A sale in another currency appears separately: the home never adds currencies.

Next date

The home shows the next date on your country’s calendar and the following one.
  • If you don’t have a gift card for that occasion, it offers to publish one from a template.
  • If you already have one, it offers to share it.
  • If there are scheduled gifts, it says how many go out and on which day.
  • After Christmas, the next date in Argentina is Three Kings’ Day. When you publish one for it, the form opens with a design from the children’s set and Three Kings’ Day selected.
  • If your country has no calendar, this block doesn’t appear.

If something goes wrong

  • If you select Try again and publishing fails, we tell you why. If we couldn’t verify your subscription, or your plan doesn’t include the action, check your subscription in Billing: reinstalling the app does not fix it. If your Tiendanube store got disconnected, reinstall gifty and try again.
  • If a sale exists but delivery or redemption is missing, open its operation to see the pending stage.
